It's even cooler than the "brunch church" by me!
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Why am I soooo skeptical of this??? [link]
Why am I soooo skeptical of this???
Oh, yeah, that's a cult.
Oh. Huh. I immediately thought of, like bacchanals but modern-day church did not occur to me. Very plausible.
Why am I soooo skeptical of this???
I guess it's the next step on from praise teams that get everyone to wave their arms for Jesus? Wave your entire body!
The older I get, the more I appreciate Bach and pews. (On the rare occasion that I find myself inside a church.)
Steph, I'm sorry about the crap care your FiL received. I'd be thinking lawsuit, too. If a desire to be helpful or professional hasn't motivated the people at his facility, fear of monetary damages seems like something that might. I hope your FiL recovers as completely as possible.
The first thing I saw when I clicked Jesse's link is that the person behind the event is also a "Cash Flow Coach" and that's definitely sus, right?
Timelies all!
So Mr. S has had two incidents of aggression in the last three days.(since the length of his school day was increased) Both times were close to the end of the school day, so they didn’t call us. Sigh…
I'm sorry, Sheryl.
I also discover a company that makes delicious pudding called PetitPot - organic French pudding. I had the dark chocolate & the vanilla bean: both extremely tasty.
Oh yeah, we're Petit Pot fans around here. You can always find them at Whole Foods. I keep the jars too for salad dressing to put into Matilda's lunch.
Yum, I would like fancy pudding!
It doesn't look great for Tim's dad's long-term prognosis. The MRI showed stroke damage on the right side of his brain, and the neurologist said his vessels were primed for a stroke AND that he's likely to have more in the next 3 months. In the immediate short term, though, at some point later this week he'll transfer to a rehab facility for 2-3 weeks and have 3+ hours of therapy a day, which he is going to loathe and be extremely resistant to. He wasn't willing to take a walk or do any kind of physical activity since he moved into assisted living 4 years ago. He's 83, and I know no one lives forever, but this is sad.
