Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

So very happy for you, Bev! And vibing hard that having almost a month's notice will be enough for you to find another good match for Mr. S.

Digits crossed for easy appointmentation for all the remaining younger Buffista sproggins. Matilda is all Pfizered up, and a couple of days ago she started bugging me all on her own about a flu vaccine, so now she has an appointment at the neighborhood Walgreens for Wednesday. I'm both joyful for her and kind of flummoxed--between this, navigating the City, and sailing smoothly back into regular socializing with what appears to be a group of really lovely young adults, I feel like she's more mature, grounded and competent at 15 than I was at 25 and I'm not sure she needs me for anything but the routine things that come up when one isn't yet a legal adult.

Yikes good luck finding a new nanny, Sheryl!!

I spent the evening playing board games with some friends and found out one only has a prescription in one eye of her glasses. So we promptly tried to convince her she really needs a monocle. Impractical, sure, but awesome?

Also my dog is being weird lately and I can’t tell why. Sick? Learning bad habits? I’m taking less good care of him? I don’t know!!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

My dogs are angels and let me sleep in, but....Miley is having incontinence in her sleep again and her diaper came off while she was in my bed. So laundry today.

the itchy is somewhat better but still get really itchy when the benedryl and steroid cream wear off.

today I'm hoping to clean some, knit some, and cook some.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry to hear the itchy is hanging on so long.

Today is family day. Brendon's brother and a friend come most Sundays to shoot pool with him. I'll wait until they get here around noon to discuss Thanksgiving plans with them. It's a keto T'day for DH and me, but others are welcome to bring whatever bready and/or sugary stuff they want. The keto stuffing, butter tarts, and pumpkin cheesecake bites will be an interesting experiment. After noon I will head to see my MIL and bring her a TV for her bedroom and visit a bit since I haven't seen her since Spring. Then we will go together to SIL's house to see her and her family around dinner time. Then home! I plan to have a good swim before heading out.

Random pleased with myself stuff: I see my PCP for my 6 month check-up on Wednesday and can't wait to show him my weight chart. I have lost 26 lbs in the last 26 weeks. One lousy pound a week, but it appears that is the way it goes with me. As of this morning down 50 pounds in about a year. At this rate, I should get to my goal weight next summer. The only downside is that at my age the skin just isn't bouncing back at all. Every single part of my body is wrinkly and flabby. Whatever, I'll deal. Next summer one of those nice full-body bathing suits I see some women wear on our beaches!

You're doing so well!

I woke up this morning and my first thought was, "This is Laura's favorite day of the year."

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Our regional school district is doing several vaccine days just for the 5-11 age group and I happened to be sitting at the computer when the email came in and jumped on an appointment. Good luck getting one, everyone with younger kids.

I got my booster and my flu shot yesterday and so far all I’m feeling is fatigue.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Both of mine got their first shots yesterday! They did great and reported only soreness afterwards, no other side effects. Good luck to everyone else! I'm so thrilled this is finally happening. We're going to be able to see grandparents over the holidays now, including Mark's dad, whom we haven't seen in almost two years and who's not in great health, so that one feels especially important.

It is! Except I would really and sincerely prefer to never ever reset my clocks again. It is harder to adapt every year. Such foolishness!

So good to read about the kiddos getting safe.

For young kids two years is such a long stretch, such a big percentage of their lives. So glad there's reunion coming soon.
