Shrift I hear you on all of that. Especially the “but nothing else I’m qualified for/will get paid decently for seems interesting either” part. We had a recent company survey and my manager was going over the overall results and her personal results, in a team meeting today, and she was very concerned about two of the “lower than average” results, one of which was “the amount of work required for my job is reasonable” (I’m shocked even half said “yes”! I think I either said neutral or no) and the other was “I am excited to go to work every day”, which I was like “I’m glad to be paid and have health insurance but excited every day seems like a big stretch”
