that Brendon can stand upright in.
I was thinking about that! The thought of sleeping in a rocking boat with the sound of water is lovely, for sure.

What I think I would prefer is my own sleeper car on a perpetually moving train traversing many countries. Some combination of the French Blue Line, Orient Express and California Zephyr.
Mmm, living on a train would be nice. As long as it didn't turn all Snowpiercer, I suppose. Amtrak passes do not seem to be structured to allow me to even vacation like that, though. Or weren't last time I checked.
msbelle, thanks for the offer, but I think I can manage. If not, there's the maintenance crew (one of the advantages of living in an apartment).
In DC there is - or was - a community of people who lived on their boats. It was a life they'd chosen, although they had to admit that it would get cold in the winter; conversely, in the summer, it was much more pleasant than most of the rest of the city. And years ago, on my first visit to Seattle, I saw a sign for a bunk-and-breakfast.
I've had a number of friends who lived on boats and have lived in a serious boating area for several decades so I am pretty sound on what it takes. Some of the marinas have little dog parks. I'll have to investigate that part. Of course, I have So Much Stuff. I need someone to visit and help me purge. I have 6 big-screen TVs. (4 bedroom, 2 living areas) Seriously, too much stuff.
My pie in the sky dream is a year-long around the world cruise. You get fed, you get to see a million cool places.
That sounds good, Dana. I have heard that the cost of living on a cruise ship can work out to be equivalent to living in an apartment once you account for everything that’s included, but that has to depend a lot on where the apartment you’re comparing it to is.
I heard something on the radio about a cruise company offering pretty much that. An around-the-world cruise that takes several months starting in ... I think 2023.
That would be perfect, Dana. I love the whole being waited on and your room cleaned up daily part lots.
Yes, -t. Some retirees basically live on cruises, which makes some sense.
I think I'd like the around the world cruise idea, though my DP has a vague claustrophobia (not the right word) about being trapped on a ship. Like, he could live on a boat that HE could control, but I think an around the world cruise would give him hives. Eh, he could just fly from port to port so we could keep up. Ha! Yeah.
Laura, I love the idea of you living on a boat, in your happy place! Also, I could then say that I have a friend who lives on a boat, which, you know, always looking to up my cool factor vicariously.
I feel like msbelle would be a master purger. Or is a master purger.
