What is even happening?

Cindy what does TFG mean? All I can think is “that ducking guy”

meara, it absolutely means that to me.

People use TFG for "the former guy" a lot on Twitter, but more often than not, they also confess they parse the "F" as the f-word.

Anyhow it means the guy who held office between Obama and Biden.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm watching a new (to me) procedural out of Australia (Halifax: Retribution on PBS) and one of the main characters has a late teen-early twenties daughter who looks so much like Matilda it's messing with my head.

Huh. I'lll have to check. Which actor/character?

eta: Mavournee Hazel?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

eta: Mavournee Hazel?

That's her, though, looking at her photos, only when she's playing Zoe. Wow, she seriously has a range of looks.

Surely, meara.

I basically slept and lay around all weekend and I still am ready for a nap now

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Tomorrow Mr. S goes back to school, at least for part of the day. If he can get through 2 weeks without too many incidents, the length of the day increases. The idea is to get him back to a full day.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope all goes well with him tomorrow, Sheryl.

Good luck, Sheryl!

The fact that I’m working with people in three counties and every country has a different daylight savings time is bonkers. (And makes scheduling meetings a nightmare)

That does sound needlessly complicated, meara!

Had my BP followup call with my doctor (who seems nice, presumably I will meet her someday) and I'm getting a prescription for a low dose of, um, Lisinopril? Which I will pick up on Wednesday after getting All the Bloodwork (liver, kidney, thyroid, diabetes, probably some other stuff) - my doctor recommends just walking in first thing in the morning after fasting rather than trying to make an appointment and I can't manage that tomorrow but I think I can on Wednesday. We had zero discussion of making any lifestyle changes which kind of surprised me but is also sort of a relief because, really, I don't think I could actually do anything differently right now. But one of the symptoms of high blood pressure is fatigue, so maybe treating it will help with that? Although one of the side effects of this drug is tiredness. We'll just have to see how that shakes out.

So that's my excitement for the day!

"You should never say bad things about the dead, only good… Joan Crawford is dead. Good.” —Bette Davis

In my experience lisinopril will get you the rest you need by making you fall asleep whenever you stop moving for the first six months or so.
