Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ohhhh, that makes sense. I guess I could have done my own googling.

Instead, I was doing work googling and finding a piece of information from 1924 that I thought was unfindable! Not sure why I found it today and not during any of my other searches.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We may have a place for preschool for Mr. S in the fall. A space has come available for Sept. 1 in one of the on-campus childcare centers where I work. We need to find out child:teacher ratio, and how equipped they are to deal with "special needs" kids.(On the upside, they've worked with the county PEP program to have someone on site.) We have to make a decision by Monday morning.

I hope that works out, Sheryl, sounds like it would be convenient for you.

So I'm looking at things to do in Atlanta, because I'll be there a couple days next week (on my way to visit my family in South Carolina), and I found out there's a museum at the CDC, and I'm totally going to go, but then on the website I found out they have a "Disease Detective" summer camp and man, I wish I could've gone to that as a high schooler! ...I'm a huge dork.

That sounds fun, though!

So I'm in the middle of hiring someone and have three internal candidates (from outside my department). I've had them all do a writing exercise and now I'm trying to rank them (blindly) and they are all pretty good! This is not helping me pick my finalists at all. Which is actually fine, really, since I basically know who I want to hire. I guess it's good that none of the exercises are terrible!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm going back for a second interview for the 'driver' position at the assisted living. (Maybe I'll suggest that they advertise it as Transportation Coordinator in future up-market ads. Or at least get a title upgrade for myself, if I get the job.)
