As people may have seen on FB, I was in B'more and I've made the decision to move there hopefully in the next 9-12 months (barring anything bad happening - more on that later).
Ideally I will be able to shift over to a role with my current company and work remotely. I should be having conversations with my boss and his boss in the next 2-3 weeks.
In 2 weeks, I am having a garage sale with a friend who just moved and am super motivated right now, so I am planning on going room by room and culling about 1/3 of my stuff including furniture.
Now the hard part, mac is not rising to the occasion of becoming independent and making good choices. Almost 100% sure that he no longer has a job. He had someone with a pet over to the house while I was gone. He also did not clean any dishes for the week and left food out and open in his room. He has stopped communicating with me if I ask him anything, taking 12+ hours at least to answer even yes/no questions as basic as "are you ok?" I do not know where he is day to day and never know when he will be coming or going fro. The house. So today I sent a text to him explaining that this was not how I would continue to live my life and that he will need to be out of the house in 5 weeks.
I expect August to be an emotional minefield, but this too shall pass.
Big hugs, msbelle. I wish I didn't know this scene so well. But yay for one more reason why I need to visit B'more! The pics I saw were quite joyful!
Congratulations on the move, msbelle!
All the best, msbelle.
Oof, good luck, msbelle!
ltc's birthday party is Sunday. So, of course I'm an anxious mess.
Baltimore is a fantastic city. And with you AND sarameg there, it will be even more fantastic!
Yikes msbelle, good luck!! But you in Baltimore seems like a great plan!
Ooooh, Baltimore! I didn't know it was in play -- not too late to think about Boston, sigh.
(I'm so sorry for your worry about mac. If I believed and prayed, I'd be praying for him.)
While the second interview goes forward, Rosemary is still in the hospital with pseudogout, and nothing they've done so far has brought the pain down other than palliative measures (i.e. painkillers). They're going to try her on stronger steroids, but they have to be careful because of the heart surgery.
