Today's afternoon meeting is assertiveness training which I have no interest in whatsoever. I don't really think my employer gets an opinion about how assertive I should be, and it's not something I care about, personally.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

He said "No, Social Security will flag it if you don't provide proof!" And I asked, "How do I prove that I *didn't* legally change my name?"
What a weird thing to get worked up about. Edit: For him I mean, obviously!!!
He's SUPER insistent about it. I think I enraged him by saying "Eh, I'm not concerned about it." (He has more than enough concern for all of us.)
Huh. Kinda reminds me of when my sister got married and the county clerk or whoever it was who actually gave them the license said something about how if they got divorced my sister would have to go through a whole process to change her name back, it wasn't automatic, and my sister confused and upset because (a) why even bring up if you get divorced when you are getting a marriage license? Come on and b) she wasn't changing her name but this conversation had her scared that it would be changed for her.
Unrelatedly, today is stupid and I would like to opt out please. But instead I need someone to tell me what to have for lunch.
A burrito.

YIKES on both those fronts!
Oh my god. I am not kidding. Dude on Facebook just commented again and said "I called the BMV, and the field rep said if a married woman hasn't changed her name on any legal documents, she can get a Real ID using her maiden name."
WHAT. WHY. Why would you, a guy, call a BMV to ask about that? And why didn't you just let it go when I said I wasn't worried???
I probably shouldn't even have replied, but instead I said "Uh, yeah. That's what I figured. Like I said above, more than once."
I assume he's going to get pissy because I didn't thank him.
Thanks, Gud. DoorDash can bring me that!
Anecdote disclaimers: they did eventually get divorced, my sister's name was not automatically changed wither when they got married or when they got divorced, she did change her name but not to her (now ex) husband's name.
OMG THAT GUY!
Are you good friends? Should I not talk smack about him?
By "maiden name," he means HER NAME, right?? I think he might be freaked out because you have your husband's name on FB, and isn't that the final legal arbiter of what your name is?
(Let me check that with my cousin "Sheikh Yurbooti"....)
