In funny news, I got on the bus to the plane today (short work trip to SF, and apparently they e started doing bidding to the plane which I have to say makes zone boarding and whatnot pretty silly) anyway, got on the bus and saw my bestie that I'm going to France with get onboard! She travels a lot for work but almost never to sF, and I hardly travel anymore, so a pretty big surprise! It was nice to see her for a minute unexpectedly—she moved from being two blocks away to being almost two hours away on a farm so I don't see her as much lately.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I'm sorry, Dana. I hope you find a new job quickly or, finances and inclination willing, enjoy the break.

What is even happening?

Dana, I'm so sorry. You were just talking about hanging in until you were fully vested. Jeez.

The status is NOT quo.

I'm sorry, Dana. That's so stressful.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm getting two months severance, and Husband's job is stable for the moment, so I'm far more fortunate than many people would be in this situation. Right now I'm definitely in the stage of luxuriating in the free time I plan to have for a bit.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's good, Dana.I hope the job search is easy and short.

Nifty, meara!

Zero inclination to do work today. Zero! I've done quite a bit already on sheer willpower but I don't know how much more of that I have in me.

brillig

FauxSon got laid off last week, his company closed 98% of their stores in Utah. He hasn't said what he plans to do. I feel bad for him, his kids are nearly out of the house, and he and his wife are figuring out how to separate while still being two peopel who basically pretty much like each other (I never thought she was good enough for him).

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm sorry, Dana. Fingers crossed that you land a better and less annoying job, but not too soon so you get to enjoy a little job-free time with the severance.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

So sorry, Dana! Glad you're going to be able to enjoy some time without those pesky early meetings.

Yikes Dana! Good luck on the job search when you start backin.

Gud, here's hoping the new job turns out to be a much better environment than this one.

I found out that my best friend's mom is being moved to hospice this afternoon. It's sad, but unfortunately not a surprise to me, I'd been expecting bad news since she first went to the hospital.
