Yikes Dana! Good luck on the job search when you start backin.

Gud, here's hoping the new job turns out to be a much better environment than this one.

I found out that my best friend's mom is being moved to hospice this afternoon. It's sad, but unfortunately not a surprise to me, I'd been expecting bad news since she first went to the hospital.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry, Dana.

Meanwhile, I did something to my upper back(specifically, a spot just below my shoulder blades) that makes a lot of upper body motion painful. Just what I needed.

What is even happening?

I'm sorry for your loss, Laura.

I'm sorry to hear that, Matt.

I hope you feel better, Sheryl.

Our days continue apace. Dh's uncle died on Friday. Youngest child's condition seems to be in flare mode.

But you know what? This didn't happen to any of us...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

When I was visiting the Sea of Cortez lo these many years ago, there were these tiny tiny midges that totally ignored all the bug spray we used. They didn't bite, but they tried to land and drink our sweat. We were basically Happy Meals on legs to them.

What is even happening?

Oh yuck, Theo.

Hey, how is your roommate's recovery coming along?

I had a bug land on my eyeball once, at the end of a long bicycle trip with our old church's youth group, when I was about 13 or 14. I still remember my friend yelling that the bug was in my eye (like I didn't know that already), and me yelling that she had to get it out.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sorry to hear that, Matt. And for your rough time, Cindy.

Oh wow to the sweat bees. Dang.

Tangentially, I just recently read something about butterflies drinking dinosaur's tears before flowers evolved. Insects, man.

Hugs all around. I'm sorry that so many people are having such a tough time of it at the moment.

Job~ma, Dana.

I have the most sarcastic 3 year old I've ever met, and I'm fairly certain it's mostly my fault. Oops.

The poquitos (as we were told the locals called them) live on the tears of seagulls. Which is kind of poetic, but also ick.

Oh I hope he loses. He's arguably as big an impediment to Mideast Peace as Hamas. (Note that I wouldn't argue it very hard, because Hamas is like having the bastard children of the Mafia and MS-13 running your country.)
