Trinity is a delight. Will be 2 in July so like whoa with energy. Took her for a couple walks and exhausted now so I hope she settles down soon.

Had a date today. Not going to go anywhere but man it would've been so convenient, she lives like a block away! I mean, not that I matched with her because of that but it would've been awfully convenient.

I was just talking with Jacqueline yesterday about how much proximity matters and how people don't value it properly and just move away. Then they get lonely and isolated. Being physically near to people you care about is huge.

It really is. My best friends live in different states; it's an eight-hour drive between me and Gretchen, and a cross-country flight to Katie. My friends in the area are a 30-40 minute drive, which still feels like a lot, especially driving home after dark on twisty country roads. I don't get lonely much, really, but it would be very good to have friends within 5-10 minutes to hang out with, without having to make plans well in advance. Not sure how many adults actually get to have that, in our society, anymore.
Because I think internet April Fool's jokes like "our site used to be X, but now we're Y!!" are funny, I meant to come up with something for the Good Stuff tumblr, but definitely not Bad Stuff! So I didn't think of anything. Oh well.

Speaking of Good Stuff, I see stories like this [link] and think they are nice, but then I think why the fuck is an 80-year-old man still needing to work? And then I no longer think the story is good stuff.
