Atropa, I heard back from my nieces. One heartily recommended Pegasus, and it was enthusiastically seconded by her sister. ("Pegasus! Right by the record store! It's my favorite book store!", "It's a super great one!") And they confirmed my recollection that it is on California, and that California is the big main drag with used book stores, thrift stores, awesome restaurants, etc.

Oh, on a lighter note, I meant to tell y'all about a restaurant name I saw on Saturday. Clove and Hoof: A Butchery Resturant. I don't know how to feel about that one. Maybe it's ironic? Maybe they mean they use a lot of garlic? I really wanted to go in and ask (and I was with my mom so I also was curious if they had any vegan options and I figure those two questions would have made me REALLY POPULAR)
