Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Don't be like Nancy, Jesse.

hip deep in pie

Is Newfoundland where "Come From Away" is set?

Yep. The airport that hosted all the planes on 9/11 used to be used for refuelling stops for transatlantic flights. My dad worked there as a customs officer in the 1950s. He says he had drinks with Frank Sinatra!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Don't be like Nancy, Jesse.

Ha!

The fact is, going to the rehearsal and meeting is the way to stop from feeling like a fraud at the second band's gigs, so. All band all day!!

Our wings are not tired.

Went to basketball game last night and learned something new, of the totally random variety. Prior to DH's varsity game the JV team plays. The JV team was all wearing those baggie long basketball shorts, while the varsity team wears mid-thigh shorts. So I asked DH why this was the case. (he knows my preference for the thigh exposing variety of course) So he tells me that those are last year's uniforms. The JV team gets the handmedown uniforms from the varsity team the following season and the varsity guys get new ones. Apparently the shorter shorts have regained popularity so they chose those.

I was extraordinarily productive today, in a way. I planned out the next 4 weeks of meals in detail. (just dinner because I eat salad every day for lunch, or soup, but no planning required) I like to cook, but I hate the daily what to eat decision stuff. So no decisions for the next month! Showed it to DH and he was all on board. Includes eating out once a week because that is just going to happen.

Wow, Laura, that's impressive!

I have a ton of people who ravp'd to my Super Bowl party tomorrow, I'm not sure where they'll all sit! My tv is not that big! But hopefully it'll be fun. Trying to convince myself to go to the grocery store, since I definitely need to, but it's a hassle with the boot, unless I want to pay for a Lyft home

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've made plans to go out grocery shopping at the super-busy-but-cheap store (Market Basket) during the Superb Owl. I live on the edge.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I used to love going to the grocery store during the Super Bowl! It was empty, and as long as you didn't want beer or tortilla chips, you could get everything on your list.

The only reason I don't do that now is that we usually go to my mom's for the Super Bowl. I don't give a damn about the game, but there's always good food, which means I don't have to cook. And since my mom and stepdad are vegetarians, Tim knows he'll get a good meal where he doesn't have to cobble together a sandwich from a hamburger bun and condiments.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I hope everyone is rooting for the Saints.
