Thrive to spite them

Something happened at work and I'm irate. I'm not supposed to know, basically I got nosy and asked someone something and she spilled because she needed to talk.

One of my coworkers was sexually harassed and threatened IN FRONT OF a manager and 2 other coworkers , one of whom is the sister of the creep who harassed her.

So "Polly" and "Amy" work in the women's department and we had a big sale and "Doris" comes in with her brother and buys a crap ton of stuff. While Amy was bagging up things Doris's brother The Creep is taking to Polly and they are off to the side. The Creep grabbed Polly's arm tryinf to talk to her and when she pulled away he pulled her closer. At some point in this he tells her (soft enough so he can't be overheard) that she's nice looking and so pretty and fresh looking.

At some point one of the manager's goes to the register to buy stuff and sees some of this.

And The Creep goes on about how Polly isn't fat like the rest of us and doesn't have a double chin and she needs to stay away from whatever food we eat so she doesn't get fat and some other shit and then tells her not to say anything or he will hurt her or come after her I can't remember but either one is horrifying. So Doris and The Creep leave and Polly asks if she can tell them what he said.

The manager was like "I was going to ask you anyway"amd she relates it. The manger foes and talks to the Assistant store manager and both Polly and Amy are called into the office separately to go on the record.

The Creep is banned from the store. I have no idea what they will tell Doris or if she will believe them and what will happen but I am ...beyond livid.

Polly is sweet and she's 17 and it honestly doesn't matter because no one deserves that.

Herding cats for fun

Oh good lord, no boundaries on that one. Good for getting him banned from the store.

Our wings are not tired.

I suspect Doris knows her brother is a creep. I'm sorry that this crap happens, but grateful the manager banned him.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes! Good for that manager.

Newfoundland, even crazier.

My Dad had all sorts of stories from when he lived in Goose Bay Newfoundland as a Canadian Airforce doctor and how half the time he couldn't understand anything from the locals.

Ha! We were stationed in Goosebay AFB '67 and part of '68.

Snow on the ground 11 1/2 months out of the year.

My parents met in Goose Bay. Mom was an Air Force nurse and dad was a doctor. Mom used to fly in unheated DC-3 aircraft and land on the tundra above the arctic circle to give medical aid to the indigenous people. She was apparently one of the first white women doing work above the arctic circle in Canada.

Mom had stories about getting lost on the base when the show melted because she didn't know what any of he buildings actually looked like and just knew how to identify them according to the snow drifts.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Is Newfoundland where "Come From Away" is set? My grandma's father was from New Brunswick, so I get them mixed up.

I basically haven't done shit today, which I feel fine about, but should I got to two band practices tomorrow?? The answer is yes, I think.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I support that yes

Have done jack all today, besides organizing my ride to the airport on Thursday and figuring out that I can't take the train home as my flight lands too late, alas. And that's fine.
