You know me! I'm like, "Go school! It's your birthday!" Or something to that effect.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

News bulletin: THE ROOMMATE HAS LEFT THE HOUSE TO GO DO FINANCIAL-TYPE STUFF.

Whether it actually gets done is another matter. I mean, there have been times she sailed forth and had a panic attack (which I only found out about by careful questioning), and there's also the question of how complicated the financial tangle she is in will take to get uncomplicated, which could mean waiting for checks to clear for her.

(For those playing the home game, the date she was originally supposed to give me a check for two months was January 2nd.)

Our wings are not tired.

Sending ~ma for roommate success! It almost feels like you have to give her treats and praise when she gets it done.

I get kitties this afternoon! I'm wondering if I should tell her that I am changing their names. Probably should because otherwise I can't introduce them on FB.

brillig

I predict That Man will show up, ask to speak, have his toadies say "You don't want to be rude to the President of the United States, who's right here, do you?" And Madame Speaker will say "There are rules, Mr. Toady."

I keep thinking about the Long Parliament vs. King Charles.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck to her and you with that, Theo! Yikes. I mean, she knows you don't sleep on a mattress stuffed with money, right?

My guess is the Senate will invite him because they have the votes there.

Ooooh, I bet that's right.

I kind of want Pelosi standing at the door of Congress with an ax handle in her hands. (Preferably Honest Abe's.)

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In re the SOTU - I believe they'd need 60 votes for him to speak (officially) from the Senate chamber and I don't think they can come up with that many. He could speak from the oval office, or the steps of the capitol ... or on Hannity ....

In lighter news, I may have found the perfect dog toy. I've give it to four different dogs, all of whom loved it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Pelosi has the ability to turn off the power and the lights in the House of Rep if she so chooses.

So...I doubt he wants his Tresemme Superhold hair near candles.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My assistant gave his two weeks notice today. This is not ideal.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am so exhausted emotionally. mac lied about doing school work. Not once, but twice. Straight to my face lied. He had two weeks to do the work, and as far as I can tell he has done none. He does not have the packet of work at home and they do not have lockers at school, so where is it? He is now not talking to me, just went to bed. He will have no wireless unless he shows me he is working on school things.

I honestly think next August will see me changing the locks on the house and him couch surfing with no plan.

I cannot make him go to therapy. Cannot make him go into the military. All I can actually do is offer him options and then keep him from squatting in this house. I never saw this being motherhood.

This is why parenthood is not for the fainthearted. He's on the cusp of adulthood and some of that is going to have to come from him. ::hugs::
