'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

This is why parenthood is not for the fainthearted. He's on the cusp of adulthood and some of that is going to have to come from him. ::hugs::

This actually might keep him from graduating.

no car, no job, low Cs in all classes, no career interests, no plan.

I just keep re-working the Animal House quote

Because books.

Some lessons they really have to learn on their own, msbelle, even when it's nightmarish to watch them do it. I'm sorry it's been so hard. He really doesn't get how lucky he is.

My assistant gave his two weeks notice today. This is not ideal.

Yikes, that's never good. Speeding finding-a-new-assistant to you.

Laura, sending all the love. You're such a steady, strong heart for your family. I hope they know how lucky they are, too.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Started the day by realizing I left my ID badge at work. Had to go to the Visitors Center, on the other side of campus. By the time I got to my usual parking garage, it was full, so I had to park a few blocks up. Luckily my badge was in fact still in the computer I was using yesterday afternoon. Where is my brain....

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Daisy Jane! It's good to see you again. How are you and your girl doing? (Can't remember if you use her name here or not.)
