Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

My ballot officially exists! I have to just mark and submit it now. Kinda excited and was scared I wouldn't get to here.

I have also conversed with WaPo about my difficulties in voting. So telling truths and also voting.

And you got a pen! I never got an I voted pen.

I want an I Voted pen a lot. NGL. I would use that pen every single time a person watched me writing. See this? I am using a pen that says, hey, I voted. Cause it matters.

I shouldn't complain when that gets amplified, I guess.

I slowly made myself indispensable and it was dumb because I love my clinic but sometimes working there is intolerable. So I'm working harder than usual to make anyone aware of what I do and make sure there is cross training. There is a hospital manager 2 position at a huge national vet available and I kinda want it. I could demand people be competent and get paid a lot more. Both are motivating.

Basically look at what you need to get out a situation for it to be a good work environment and see what needs to happen to work towards that goal.

I love the things I do for military families but I fix or try to eventually fix so many fuck ups that it's demoralizing. I didn't do anything wrong but I have to explain it and then maybe explain why the kid's puppy won't be going with them to another country for usually six months.

I wanted a lazy day. Maybe Saturday.

Oh, me too. My BF is onboard. My weekend better be snuggles, good NASCARing, whiskey and delicious food. With dog outings interspersed.

and had a wee cough. And because this is 2020, I was like "Probably not a heart attack but maybe Covid???"

Why isn't he isolated and quickly testing? No issue with Tim but that's how this should be handled from the outset. A single symptom, no symptom, isolate and and test.

Found out yesterday that if I test for any reason (including that vaguely weird thing called Public Health), I am out until I get a negative result.

In some coded discussion, I agreed that I would absolutely notify and isolate upon symptoms even if I thought they were not related to Covid. And if I, as a civilian, had health screenings, he is not privy to any tests or results that don't have a public health need to disclose. Fun Times.

I report symptoms I have or testing for symptoms, and I'm taking that leave.

But being a responsible human, we should test regularly.

Fever still not broke. On clear liquids. SO hungry, but everything sounds awful and I know would not cooperate with my innerds at the moment. So water, broth and tea.

I just checked the ballot tracker, and my ballot has been counted!
YAY!!!!

Yikes the "I can't go in" part sucks so bad--especially because when someone isn't feeling well and stressed out in the ER it's extra important to have someone else with you!!

It's really important, as a human, to be with our people who are ill or not feeling well. Absolutely 100% agree with and support that we cannot do that not but everyone could just wear a fucking facemask and we'd be in a different place.

Now that I am back in Florida I can swim daily again

I need to word this in a way that gets me flown into Florida to just swim every day and hangout with friends before eating fresh seafood and zapping me home. Or that nice hotel nearby. That place was good.

Just supporting you in kinda email as much as possible

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I am an advocate for breakfast pie. Also? fried fruit-filled hand pies, crust sprinkled with whatever spices go with the fruit. Apple=cinnamon, peach=ginger, cherry=a little anise and cardamom, etc.

I made lunch mini pies the other day - apple with brie and ginger, and fig with goat cheese and proscuitto.

I definitely support pie for breakfast. Mom baked me a pumpkin pie for my birthday and I made almost as many breakfasts from it as desserts.

I hope that manager 2 position works out, Cass.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ugh, msbelle! That's the worst. I hope you're on the mend.

I would like some of Vortex's pies, and for Cass to get that job.

I hope you're feeling better this morning, msbelle. I hope you can eat something! Maybe not breakfast pie just yet, but something.

Here's to lazy, snuggle-y Satudays. We are also visiting my aunt for the first time since the before times, on her deck with masks. Then Walgreens and Aldi, then in for the day and relaxation. Probably a walk later.

I, too, would like Votex's pies, please.

Good positions-working-out-well vibes -t and Cass's way. Well,and everyone's way as needed.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Glad the fever broke, hope you can rest and recover and eat a little. Everything sucks, hatred makes sense.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

baked oatmeal recipe

Basically, per serving, you want 1/2 cup wet ingredients, 1/2 cup oats, and flavorings. Bake the mixture at 380 for 20 minutes.

It can be super simple, or very fancy, depending on how you are feeling each morning. If you have enough ramekins (or pyrex bowls) you can mix a few and have them in the fridge ready to pop in the oven while you shower and get dressed in the morning.

Wet ingredients can be mashed banana, pumpkin puree, applesauce, milk, whatever you have around). Some fat helps: I usually dallop some coconut oil in the bottom of the container, it melts while baking and soaks in. Or a tablespoon of a nut butter, I guess dairy butter would be fine if you like that kind of thing ;P A pinch of salt is a must, and a dash of vanilla extract makes it extra desserty. Add-ins are great for texture. Chopped nuts, dried fruit, chocolate chips....it's all good.

Have I mentioned how much I love baked oatmeal? Sometimes I have one for dessert. With chocolate chips, of course, and a drizzle of honey over the top that crystallizes. Yuuuuummmm.

edited to fix link. Also to note that there is an added bonus of making your kitchen smell amazing. Oh, and works great in a toaster oven, no need to use the full oven unless you are making a big batch. Approximate ration of 1=1/ wet=dry for rolled oats. Steel cut needs more liquid and longer bake time.
