The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Wow, Cass.

Thrive to spite them

Grrr.. I just discovered I'm still being charged for my NC car insurance. I emailed the agent and will call tomorrow on my lunch break. This is really frustrating.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

That's terrible, askye.

I'm 100% fine apart from the stress.

Mad Skilz!

I 100% thought I would not make it out okay.

Truly lucky I did driving courses. It just builds muscle memory.

If anyone remembers the saga of 'Cass was in a truck with a veterinarian when a tow truck hit a motorcyclist in front of us and basically severed his leg almost off but was super lucky that he had an kick-ass Army vet behind him so he has a metal leg and, most importantly, a pulse.' about two and a half years ago? Same intersection. Also I love every single time that man posts on Facebook because I thought he was going to die in front of me. I will not be posting this on Facebook.

Thanks everyone.

Herding cats for fun

I don't know about the post office these days. I sent two cards early in September and they have both been returned- finally- with canceled stamps and a sticker stating the envelope is not deliverable as addressed and cannot be forwarded. It looks okay to me.... first name, last name, number, street, city, zip. WTF? I don't have the neatest handwriting in the world, but for mailing envelopes I make sure it's legible, complete and large written with a black pen.

I'm gonna put the returned card into a bigger envelope and try again, but this is disheartening. They fail to deliver but cancel the stamp anyway.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Cass! OMG! So glad you're OK.

msbelle, I am sorry. Health~ma. And generally, health~ma in every direction.

(Fun fact: I'm a 35 years old in a grad school. I can spell lots of words, including long and complicated words, but every isn't one of them. I keep writing it evrey, every time. Yay spellcheck).

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Now that you mention it, I pronounce every as evrey. Huh.

Case, I'm glad you're ok, even if your tires aren't.

Our wings are not tired.

Yikes, Cass. I had a bit of an adrenaline rush just reading about it. Yay skillz.

I don't know about the post office these days.

Yeah, I've had things returned that were 100% fine too, and things that take forever. I still get checks in the mail from most of my customers because checks mean no fees for credit cards, but some have just disappeared. I suspect they have morale issues there.

Yay spellcheck

My favorite computer advancement of all time, says one who wrote most of her college papers on a typewriter. It taught me how to spell words I misspelled for years. What I don't get (glares at DH) is why people don't activate it for all writing, or do they just ignore the squiggly line?

I had to add yay ages ago to my dictionary because it always got a squiggly line and I disagreed.
