Right, there comes a point where you have to either move on, or just buy yourself a Klingon costume and go with it.

Our wings are not tired.

Yikes, Cass. I had a bit of an adrenaline rush just reading about it. Yay skillz.

I don't know about the post office these days.

Yeah, I've had things returned that were 100% fine too, and things that take forever. I still get checks in the mail from most of my customers because checks mean no fees for credit cards, but some have just disappeared. I suspect they have morale issues there.

Yay spellcheck

My favorite computer advancement of all time, says one who wrote most of her college papers on a typewriter. It taught me how to spell words I misspelled for years. What I don't get (glares at DH) is why people don't activate it for all writing, or do they just ignore the squiggly line?

I had to add yay ages ago to my dictionary because it always got a squiggly line and I disagreed.

Pretty sure I would vote for John Rogers for President:

A platform worth endorsing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My local mail has been better than ever -- I just picture the local PO people sitting in meetings saying, "Fuck DC, we're going to do our jobs!"

Pretty sure I would vote for John Rogers for President:

100%

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Works for me. John Rogers 2028!

What Laura said!

A manager that I'm working with on a project has scheduled time this afternoon to offer me constructive feedback, so now I have to figure out how to accept that gracefully when what I really want to do is react like a truculent child.

What is even happening?

John Rogers has my support for 2024. He's promised to enact my mandatory snacks and naps law* in his first 100 days.

*I'm pretty sure I developed this here a gazillion years ago (or possibly on LJ, which for me was also mostly Buffistas), so it's our law.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yikes, Cass! I'm so happy that your instincts and muscle memory kicked in when they were really needed. Part of survival is luck, but it's also hitting the sweet spot between freezing up and flailing about.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm glad you're okay, Cass.

AmyParker, I am so sorry about Jim's brother.

shrift, considering the tax issues in the news right now. HA! Barf! Glad you put someone on that.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Hugs to all who need/want them.

Got my flu shot today. I'm lucky that I can get one at work for free, even if I had to schedule it this year.(as opposed to previous years when it was walk-up)
