Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Meanwhile, it was in the 50s here today. The rest of the week is supposed to be in the 40s. I dunno about snow..

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It was glorious 50s here today too! I listened to a music program about 1968 for about 9 hours.

I mean, 2018 is giving 1968 a run for its money on the terribleness, but the music was much more amazing.

Our wings are not tired.

1968 was indeed a very good year. FWIW, I have 1969 as the password on my Nook, because it was also a very good year.

So I was just filling my daily vitamin thingy and when I shook out exactly 14 vitamins into my palm I had a moment of delight. Then I thought to myself, Buffistas would understand that.

Went to acupuncture tonight. I explained to her that I might be a tad on then tense side with the dog having congestive heart failure, and holidays, and my cousin dying, and trips to winter wonderland, and ya know, everything. And she decided to do something different with the whole music and aromatherapy, and so forth. Well, it was a relaxing hour. I only had to remind myself to stop clenching my jaw a few times.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Dink

That's brilliant.

Safe travels, Laura. So sorry for your loss.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

There's a DJ across the street with his amps aimed at my windows blasting Hip Hop until 11pm for a college-sponsored "block party" I don't recall hearing any notice about.

My one consolation is that he's playing to an apparently empty street, so hopefully no one is going to line up another of these things anytime soon.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Laura, I am sorry for your loss.

There's a big women protest and strike today in Israel. I moved apartments two days ago and I'm drowning in boxes and errands and technicians and there's a conference in Thursday that I am part of its staff so I cannot participate as much as I'd like (and I'm at work too atm). I had to decline an invitation to speak in one of the protests, but my thoughts and heart are with everyone in the streets today. Oof.

Our wings are not tired.

Moving is time consuming enough without having the conference too. I understand how you feel about missing the protest though.

I bought some lemongrass essential oil and a little diffuser to put next to my work area because mosquitos keep getting into the house for various reasons. They think I am an airborne disease testing station and I was getting bit a dozen times a day for the past couple weeks. We'll see if it helps, but at least it smells nice.

eta: I'm also an idiot and they are only getting like 3" of snow the night I arrive in NY. Duh.

I read a bit about the strike in the news, Shir. I hope it's productive and that your moving-related hassle calms down soon.

I just got invited to a bookmaking workshop at a work friend's place. That's a bit of work-related socializing that I'm actually looking forward to.

Government needs to approve a budget that was recommended by a committee that was nominated by the same government a while ago. That's it. Sadly, chances are slim, however the coalition and municipalities are still using this strike as photo op to show how much they care. The PM was quoted on 25/11, re that committee that he nominated back then, saying that he "didn't know things are so dire" and that "something needs to be done". I know, right?

Anyhow, there is a call for people who couldn't participate in the strike today to donate their daily salary to one of the causes and charities. I think I'll do that.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Struggling to stay on task today. Also my office has only warmed up to about 63 degrees. The building leaks so much air and the heater can only keep up so much, each morning it is about 55 degrees when people arrive.
