I keep seeing stories of colleges/universities where they have in-person classes and have to send everyone home because of infections.

I am interviewing student workers to work remotely. It is bizarro, but no one we interviewed is in the dorms, they are in nearby houses of five or so people just in case. I do tend to interview students junior and above.

I was not at all happy to let people use my bathroom when they were here for ltc's outdoor social distant birthday party, and I cleaned the hell out of it as soon as they all left.

I think that's a reasonable response. My stepdad was 100% serious that my mom should have made my brother pee in the yard. It's the being 100% serious about it that I think is insane.

I mean, I have peed in a friend's yard due to covid rather than going in their house to use the bathroom. Granted, only friends who have a big yard but only have one bathroom.

Really? It seemed like an overreaction to me (on my stepdad's part), but I didn't realize it was a thing people were doing. That was a hasty assumption on my part, and I need to adjust my opinion.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I wouldn't make someone not use my bathroom, but I'd Lysol the hell out of it once they left. Telling someone to pee in your yard is a little over the top, imho.

I highly recommend watching the convention with a 5 year old who sticks out her tongue every time the current occupant's name is mentioned.

(But also, fomite transmission is not a thing with this virus, letting people use your bathroom is fine as long as they don't lick the doorknob on the way in.)
