Candidate for Buffista compound?
(My summer vacation plans depended on being allowed to cross the Canadian border and I am looking for alternatives. This one is too expensive but I think someone should buy it for me and we can all move in.)

Ooooooooh. And commiserations, Jess - we were going to Victoria for our anniversary and instead spent the time in Balcony Vale.
That would make a fine compound! Sorry about the closed border, Jess.
Timelies all!
My parents are visiting this weekend(Mr. S's birthday is on Monday), so much cleaning needs to be done tonight.
What I need is something that's as healthy as the apple slices, and gives me the same pleasant mouth-burning feeling as the ghost pepper corn chips.
Have you tried just eating straight peppers, chrismg?
My laptop kindly informed me that it needed to plugin or it would hibernate, so I stopped work for a moment for that, fed the cat, and opened a beer. Am also congratulating myself on not answering "that sounds like a you problem" when someone in another department asked how I'd like to handle a shortshipped order. I really don't see how that's any of my business, I though.
I actually like the dried bell pepper chips they sell in the salad section, but they have basically no kick to them. And I don't like the texture of raw peppers - the crunchiness of the apple slices is part of the appeal. I suppose I could try soaking the slices in chili oil or something....
That was going to be my next suggestion
Sprinkle tajin on apple slices maybe?
Popcorn with hot sauce on it? The bits with the hot sauce get soggy but the overall effect is still crunchy.
