I had my root canal today. I rocked it. I took some melatonin to help me relax. I had heavy metal music to listen to and I did breathing exercises before hand. I kept checking in with myself when I got tense (is that pain or pressure? It's just pressure it's ok. That is a sound a really annoying sound but it isn't hurting. Etc)
I made mashed potatoes for dinner but didnt get them smooth enough and chewed a couple chunks and that was a mistake. I stopped after that and just at the smooth parts.
To Add Things or To Not Add Things?
Oooo, yeah, I bet you could get something started with this! I'll help! Raisins = NO
Glad you got through, askye! Sounds like you were really self-aware. I've never had root canal, but after my wisdom teeth were extracted, I was a big fan of scrambled eggs.
I didn't even.rhink of scrambled eggs. I may have some later.
I am in a bread baking Facebook group and it is odd to see some of the breads the guys produce. Some of them produce bread 5hat is mostly air holes and then they get compliments on how great it looks but to me it just looks like weird.
HAHAHA once again mgmt came by to tell me I could go home early, ten minutes before I would have left anyway. So generous.
Ooh, the bread bros article came along just when I was needing something new to hate about techboys!
Congrats on making it through the root canal, askye!

Boooo.
I'm trying something different with the cranberry sauce since nobody much cares for the basic stuff.
So I'm doing this recipe but using blood oranges: [link]
And I'm also going to make some candied lemon with ginger too.
I'll serve this on top of the Brie en Croute too so that should be good.
Then I'm going to roast some mushrooms in advance of my mushroom stew in pastry shells.
smdh at minus-t's mgmt
To Add Things or To Not Add Things?
The Cherry Chocolate bread at Noe Valley Bakery is one of the best things I've ever eaten.
Okay, now I've got very pretty pink blood rose hard candy syrup all over half my kitchen implements.
That should be easy to get off.
That cranberry sauce looks delicious, David!
I've baked my pies (one pumpkin, one apple), put the white wine in the fridge, thawed the Cornish hens, and prepped the sweet potatoes for tomorrow's casserole. I also dug out the mystery silverware and polished it. I think there are about three hours of food prep, furniture moving, and cleaning tomorrow, which isn't too bad. And I'm really looking forward to decorating for Christmas on Friday.
