Gud made me google and now I'm slightly more depressed than I already was.

Most people aren't wearing masks in public here in Australia. It's not really become necessary.
They are of course wearing them in the hospitals, however, as we discovered yesterday when we had to take Biyi's father to emergency. (Not the 'rona, but still worrying). I couldn't go in with them - limit of one accompanist per patient. We got there around 5 pm, he didn't see a doctor until eight hours later. Biyi and I didn't get to bed until 4 am. (I don't know when her dad got any sleep, sounds like they spent the rest of the night on medical stuff.)
He's still at the hospital, though he's been traded to a different hospital (big leagues now). Very happy to see Biyi this evening as it meant he had someone to complain to. (The doctors were happy to see her too because some of his meds were in Chinese.) We're still waiting for a diagnosis. They've ruled out infection, but that's about it.
Anyway, Biyi got some rest today, so she's feeling less stressed, thankfully. Waiting eight hours left her pretty wrecked.
Looking at the description of that executive order, that would be so far-reaching it's going to make allies out of most of the tech world, from the EFF to Google.
Oh, that sounds hard, billytea. Health~ma to your FiL
Caprican Octagon Flakes:
Jeeze, bt. none of us need that kind of stress on top of what we already have. Hope her father pulls through OK.
Thanks peeps. He's not in any pain or discomfort right now (save possibly from a rigorous bout of medical testing). Hopefully it's nothing serious, but we'll wait and see.
Meanwhile, this is one possible response to Zuckerberg's stance on fact checking: [link]

Yeah, it's very broad. It might not end up going anywhere, but if it does, it's going to be ugly.
If the order stands, I'd recommend the new board only be readable by registered users. I think there are going to be organizations just scanning the Internet for websites to sue.
I mean, I don't expect it to actually go anywhere, but these days you never know.
I feel weird about that idea and also that maybe there's no reason to feel weird about it? I don't know what to think.
