That sounds nice, Theo
I am SO ANGRY that I can't just be uncomplicatedly pleased that the insider trading pandemic profiteer stepped down from his committees after being served a warrant because that worm McConnell will replace him with someone who will rubber stamp a No Collusion conclusion on everything. ARGH
I bought muffaletta fixings at the grocery store tonight, and tried them out with the only bread I had in the house, a spare King's Hawaiian roll. Not terrible, but I think it'll be a lot better when I get some loaves of fresh bread from the Italian restaurant (the closest locally available match to muffaletta bread).
Mmmm.....muffaletta....
I wish I had taken today off like half my office, it seems. But instead I will take the opportunity to do not much work, maybe catch up on work reading, and go for a long walk. Because fuck it!!!!
Earlier this week I was planning on taking half of today off, but a bunch of stuff came in and I had an anxiety attack about not having something done my big boss asked for - so no. I am on a big zoom that only about 10% pertains to me (not that I have access to track even that part). Then I need to shower and head into the office and try to clear another stack of these $%^$^% things from the nemesis.
We're getting next Friday off to give folks a 4-day weekend, which is nice. A lot of us have unlimited PTO so the hours don't really matter but it's awesome for the hourly folks and good for everyone to get the "permission" to take time. Even if you can't go anywhere.
Ooooh, I should make muffaletta bread!
I meant to say. Hawaiian rolls are my go to for my fakey turkey muffulettas.
So, like, muffaletta sliders, Matt? Needs must when the devil drives. That doesn't sound like a terrible idea, actually, although that soft sweet bread would sure be different.
That is nice, lisah. Gonna be weird to have so many days of May left after Memorial Day
Really want to try a muffuletta. Then an oyster po'Boy. Those sounded so good when I read about them.
I could probably make a quasi-muffaletta out of the ciabatta rolls I'm making now, actually. I have ham, salami, provolone, and olives. Hmmmmm.
