I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It is weirdly gratifying to think "damn, it's hot" and have your phone confirm that it is 97F.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Okay, we really need benefits.

Yeah, that makes sense. Good luck, you guys.

You guys, I made pizza with stuff I had in my house and no pre-planning, and it is good!

Edit: You GUYS!!!

Yay pizza!

I have some leftover pizza in the freezer, but I think I'm gonna get takeout from the Mexican place around the corner. They have amazing chips and tacos.

-t, I'm very grateful it's at least 10 degrees cooler here than there.

Our wings are not tired.

Mmmm, pizza! Well done. My dinner was really tasty tortilla chips and hummus. And a frozen pineapple bar. Lazy = me.

Does that mean you have the shrimp as a fallback?

Nope, that was the lunch special that I opted out of in favor of getting dinner from there. My lunch was a cheap burger and fries that I'd have been perfectly happy with if I weren't comparing it to the shrimp and grits. Oh well, somehow I'll soldier on.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm totally planning to take vacation days even though I can't go anywhere.

It's not nearly that hot in SF, but it's still hot enough that I have been putting off making cookies because it's Too Damn Hot in my apartment to use the oven. Maybe tomorrow will be the day!

I think I'm going to make some kind of Mediterranean salad for dinner.

Yeah. I took last Friday afternoon off and went for a walk with the dog. Gotta look after ourselves.

Aw, I'm sorry, Matt.

I'm kind of glad for the furlough days we have to take because I was feeling like I *couldn't* take time off (not a stated policy, just we're really busy). Really glad I have time already on the calendar for September, whether I end up doing what I originally planned with it or not.

Dinner is going to be rice and shrimp which I should start soon because Lionsgate is streaming John Wick at 6 and I've never seen it so there's my evening plans all sorted.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Just donated to the GoFundMe covering the costs of my former Girl Scout troop leader's funeral, so that's how tonight is going. She was a nurse in NC.

It's not really a personal blow, it's just...like this is what our lives are, now.
