I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, I'm sorry, Matt.

I'm kind of glad for the furlough days we have to take because I was feeling like I *couldn't* take time off (not a stated policy, just we're really busy). Really glad I have time already on the calendar for September, whether I end up doing what I originally planned with it or not.

Dinner is going to be rice and shrimp which I should start soon because Lionsgate is streaming John Wick at 6 and I've never seen it so there's my evening plans all sorted.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Just donated to the GoFundMe covering the costs of my former Girl Scout troop leader's funeral, so that's how tonight is going. She was a nurse in NC.

It's not really a personal blow, it's just...like this is what our lives are, now.

I hear you, Dana.

I keep thinking - sigh this is gonna be very mememe and I don't mean it to be but that's what I have to work with - anyway, after Katrina, a friend of mine that I wasn't super tight with had died and I only found out because he was sort of slightly famous so it was in the paper, and it made me wonder about all the people I only knew to nod at in the neighborhood or whatever and whether they were okay and it seemed almost certain that many of them were not but I would never know and it's that times a thousand for all of us now, isn't it?

I don't like it.

And people who are okay with making it worse are terrible human beings.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Guess what I just scored after talking about it for years? A grey market CD-R of Precious Bane with Janet McTeer! Wooooo!

Sorry to hear about that, Dana.

What is even happening?

Dana, I'm so sorry.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm sorry, Dana.

msbelle, that is awesome news about Mac!

I watched that not too long ago, Hec. It's very good. Janet McTeer was scary in Ozark.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm sorry, Dana.

Trudy, much ~ma for your aunt and your family and you. May she be well.

mbelle, MAC CALLED YOU WOOOO

I made a perfect steak. Inch thick, pan fried, just a bit past pink in the middle, just a bit of char on the outside, soft and moist and chewy. And perfect smooth buttery mashed potatoes. A good meal makes me happy.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Wooden corset alert:

That's fucking AMAZING.

But you neglected to mention there's video of the aunt fencing the cat (who really can't parry at all).
