Glad to hear about Mac!

I've got two remaining mail deliveries for the bracelet I bought Mom to arrive before Mother's Day. I don't think that's happening, so the box of disposable masks may have to stand in as her gift.

I'm telling you, taking a day off work and reading all day is not bad!

That's super pretty, Matt. No doubt your mom will love it whenever it arrives. I know FedEx systems are overloaded to a ridiculous degree, I'm sure that's true to some extent for all package delivery channels.

Grr, Dana. Do you even know if he is being considered for the same position or is it just that weird "is he still available" query?

Coding and Sleeping

I am loving Chipotle free delivery, though I do tip a lot so it isn't really free. Still it's a great excuse to get a burrito delivered while I'm working.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Taking a day off is great! You can do whatever with no guilt! Read in bed all day! Only watch Bon Appetit videos! Watch a whole season of something!

I really recommend it.

I'm going to get flowers for my mother, and I guess make her another card? (I made her one for her birthday the other week...)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Wednesday, they asked about his salary range and said they would check into benefits. That's it.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm going to need more yeast soon enough, so I ordered a pound of it from Amazon. Won't be here until the 23rd. I really do bake enough that I go through a 4 oz jar every couple months, so it's not a stupid purchase for the long run, even if the baking supply companies get their act together and start making more quickly.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Your husband is being way more patient than I would ever be, Dana. I would have told them to go fuck off for stringing me along a long time ago, regardless of how much I needed a job.

Huh. Well, good luck, Dana

I ordered some stuff to be delivered to my mother from a local to her shop and the website said it would be delivered Sunday or maybe Saturday if they got too many orders to do them all on Sunday, but when I placed the order it said it would be delivered last Thursday, but she hasn't said she got it so I'm assuming it'll actually get to her this weekend...Mom never really expects anything and there should be a card included with a note from me so I am sure she would say something if/when she got it (and if she doesn't get it until Monday or something she will be even more pleasantly surprised!)

Well, it's a few things. We would really like benefits. The job would cover relocation to Florida, which is definitely something we're interested in. And the actual job sounded good.

Okay, we really need benefits.

Yay for msbelle and Mac getting to talk.

Sorry for Trudy's family, I hope she gets better soon.

Good luck to Dana's DH.

We're going to have a Mother's Day happy hour in my sister's backyard on Sunday. I'm considering making a Bakewell Tart, since I have all the ingredients for that.

Today's my day off. I took the dog for a nice run in the woods (only wore my bandana some of the time because it's just really hard to run with a mask on), did some yard work. Maybe I'll do some banking. Not sure what to do with the rest of my day, although I'm toying with the idea of trying to make poptarts at home, I found a recipe a while back.
