In other news, my coworker is going out on maternity leave today, and when I was saying good-bye, she was like, "I've got a crappy year ahead of me, but I'll get through it, and eventually I'll get to go on business trips again." I love that she would say that out loud! Babies aren't super fun for everyone! Getting away from your family can feel like a vacation! (She has an older kid, so she knows what she's talking about.)

Peanut's daycare is cancelled, so I called out of my work since M's in the middle of a sprinkler system upgrade at his, and I'm disappointed I won't be around adults all day. Also, they would have celebrated Peanut's birthday today at daycare, so now I have 2 dozen handmade cupcakes sitting around.

I stayed awake way too late last night not realizing what time it was (not sure why I wasn't sleepy?) and then woke up with awful stupid pain (nerve pains to my toes—my whole foot and half my calf are still weirdly half-asleep feeling)

We have a "work from home if you have to because your kid's school is closed" day today, but also our department Thanksgiving Potluck, so that'll be weird.

WFH means I've been at my "desk" since 7am and SO ready to log off now. But the rest of my dept is just rolling into the office so I can't.
Also my phone has gone from randomly shutting down at 30% battery to randomly shutting down to 80% battery which means I effectively have a landline that just happens to be shaped like a cell phone.
