WFH means I've been at my "desk" since 7am and SO ready to log off now. But the rest of my dept is just rolling into the office so I can't.
Also my phone has gone from randomly shutting down at 30% battery to randomly shutting down to 80% battery which means I effectively have a landline that just happens to be shaped like a cell phone.
You know how we keep advising each other to wrap ourselves in bubble wrap after an injury? well, at the CMA Awards, Brad Paisley gave Carrie Underwood a bubble wrap dress (since she had a seriously bad fall last year). I think it's a one of a kind ... but there might be a market for it.
Local air quality is actually better this morning, though - down to 185!
That's good. We're down to... 225?
I'm WFH due to the air quality, although I do have an appointment at the salon this afternoon so I'll have to slap on a mask and go outside anyway.
I

my respirator.
Also the concept of the bubble wrap dress.
My carrot and chickpea salad turned out to be kind of ideal for last minute make and bring to potluck - bought a bag of matchstick carrots, 2 cans of garbanzo beans, a bunch of fresh dill, a small amount of bulk roasted pepitas, olive oil and sherry vinegar before work, dumped it all together with some minimal prep (rinsing the chickpeas, cutting the dill with scissors, guessing how much is 1/4 C of olive oil) et voila, salad. I'm just assuming it'll taste okay, but how bad could it be?
Ooh, that sounds good!

Is it Apple? Weren't they supposed to be doing something to make that up to people? (I am vague on this because it happened just after I replaced my iPhone that had started doing that same thing.)

It's a Moto Z, and so far Lenovo has recommended people do a factory reset (many have tried, it doesn't help), buy the battery mod, or upgrade their phones.
This bullshit is going to drive me back to Samsung, isn't it?
I take back all the bad things I've been saying about my LG Phoenix phone. Even though it spontaneously reboots about twice a day.
I am watching GBBO episodes, excellent for calming one in these stressful times, and I am about ready to cut a bitch for a Cornish pasty.
Today is not fun. I'm in the process of severing the employment of one of my full time staff. This is the really hard part of being the owner.
