Very convincing. Makes me completely want to put myself under government control. Please take me to where you can make me unconscious and naked.

JZ, that's adorable.

On edit: the suspenders, I mean, not the non-pap-smear.

Herding cats for fun

OMG! There were four packages of toilet paper at the grocery store today! So exciting! My first sighting since we went into lockdown!!!

I grabbed one and then realized I haven't gotten into the brick of TP from Costco yet. I don't need it, I just want it because it's been like Unobtanium. I virtuously replaced it and left it for someone else. I hope they will be as happy as can be.

Chicken Waldorf salad for dinner was perfect after a hot day here in the East Bay. Mmmm, grapes and walnuts.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I saw actual Clorox wipes on Sunday and nearly had the same kind of meltdown, Katerina. I didn't buy them, because my stash (from The Before Times) is good, but it was tempting.

Also saw some flour, which I almost went for, but I'm still working my way through the giant bag of Bob's Red Mill. And it may have ruined me for lesser flour, because the two loaves of bread I've made from it have actually been the best I've ever made. I didn't think that the flour could make such a difference...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Going into the office today. I was up and feeding the dog at 7:20, plenty of time to actually get into office on time, but no. Now it's 8:40. I should have been logged on 10 min ago and I am not even showered yet. Poop!

Thrive to spite them

I'm sitting here procrastinating about getting ready for work because I'm resentful and angry still about going to work.

I read an article this morning about local mall openings. Ours and one nearby won't have seating in the food court but one will. And it looks like that one also isn't mandating that dressing rooms be closed.

Also I really want to get a trip to Costco in, well send Matthew but he'd have to take my car (the back of his won't open), and I didn't think of this yesterday when I was off and I don't know my next day off so we have to coordinate about when he will go and dropping me off/picking me up.

We could do instacart but I've noticed that store websites aren't listing everything available for delivery orders and I'd rather have him go and see what is available.

And I think I left a small bottle of hand sanitizer in my jeans pocket Monday and they maybe washed. I hope I didn't lose that hand sanitizer we are running low.

Our wings are not tired.

Our parks opened today, with restrictions. The playground equipment is still roped off and they warned against gatherings and such. We'll see. DH is going to run over and see if the dog park is open because the article didn't specifically say. Boat ramps are open though so maybe a boat ride is in my future.

Yesterday was, interesting. Because my doctor is a freak I ended up going to the hospital and getting a bunch of blood work and a contrast type chest CT for lungs and heart stuff. I personally think I pulled a chest muscle swimming, but doctor (because freak) of course thinks heart attack or pneumonia. Don't have the blood stuff back yet, but the scans were all delightfully "unremarkable", or as I pointed out to my family, the only thing about me that is unremarkable. Doctor still wants me to come today for Covid test, which is fine because more than happy to know.

For your amusement, some of the hairstyles I've been through in the last nine months:

Awesome to see your smiling face! With or without eyebrows!

Thrive to spite them

I'm glad your Dr is being overly cautious Laura.

Work is. Eh. The ship from store business with the managers here has really kept things afloat. If it hadn't there would have been layoffs.

Managers were not keeping any distance from each other at the morning meeting and it bothers me. Partly because it sets a bad example for everyone else

More masks worn by ppl today. Our mask orders are delayed and may not be here on Friday. For the store I mean. They are trying to get some to us for Friday for ppl who don't have any

Mostly people around here are very compliant, but every once in a while I will see a cluster of people with no masks and it just is so frustrating.

Yesterday on my ride down the beach there was a cluster of about 8 people waiting for the light to change. All had masks except one runner, but she stood way to the side of the rest of them jogging in place waiting for the light.
