Anya: It's lovely! I wish it was mine! Oh like you weren't all thinking the same thing. Giles: I'm fairly certain I wasn't.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Hi everyone! Glad to be here outside of lurking.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I've hit "chidi buying peeps" but not yet "stirring peeps into chili"

I love this scale.

I've run out of rice, I think I will be eating barley this Passover, but steamed not cooked into bread. I am trying to maintain some semblance of observing restrictions.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My cousin just called me to thank me for organizing such a lovely seder. So that was nice. I made a Haggadah and emailed the PDF to everyone, and I lead the seder, and I'd emailed everyone a list of the things they'd need for the seder (and got like five last-minute phone calls about what to do if they were missing some foods), and I organized the Zoom call (and upgraded to a paid Zoom account for the month, since the free ones will only let you host a meeting for 40 minutes, and I know my family, and we were not going to be able to keep logging back in every 40 minutes for several hours. It took nearly 40 minutes just to get everyone logged in once.)

I'm still kind of pinballing all over the place emotionally. Holidays alone suck.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, shrift, that sounds so hard.

I am also worried about Gud.

I've hit "chidi buying peeps" but not yet "stirring peeps into chili"

I just realize I have both Peeps and chili in the house....

Not Jewish, but I appreciated the thing going around the internet about how using whatever you currently have in the house for Passover in order to avoid a current plague should be the most kosher thing.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I appreciated the thing going around the internet about how using whatever you currently have in the house for Passover in order to avoid a current plague should be the most kosher thing.

Avoiding plague is very much in the spirit of the holiday.

I was able to get matzo because a friend has pre-ordered a ton for a community seder that obviously got canceled, so she was selling it to the rest of us. And grocery delivery in Cincinnati has a lot more of a wait time than usual, but it's nothing like what I've heard from the NYC area. (Plus, I started ordering Passover food a few weeks ago, because my usually completely overboard interpretation of "plan ahead" is actually coming in handy now.)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

When I'm not working, I'm mostly trying to convince myself that I'm not too tired to cook, reading fic, or collapsing on the couch to play video games or watch comedies.

Oy, shrift! I'm not working nearly as much as you are, but it's still hard to be enthusiastic about doing much. I kinda wish I was a video-game person, but I don't have a console and most games make me motion-sick anyway.

If anyone has a nice non-shooty game that I could play on my laptop without spending a ton of money, I would welcome recommendations!

The status is NOT quo.

Just popping in to say I hope everyone who celebrates is having a lovely Passover. Chag Pesach samech!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.
