Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

oh dear ... we're having weekly staff teleconference meetings and today one person took the entire call with his dog on his lap ... seemingly the dog will bark up a storm if he's not included

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm having a little guilt about toilet paper, because I went grocery shopping this morning and the Meijer we shop at hasn't had TP on its shelves for like 2 weeks now, so I went to Target specifically for TP. We haven't been hoarding TP -- 2 of us don't go through a ton of it -- but Target only had the giant 18-roll packs, so that's what I bought, because we needed some TP. If they'd had a 6-roll pack, that's what I would have gotten. But I guess we're just set for the next month or so, which is nice.

Trader Joe's had a line outside for the shoppers, because they were only allowing a limited number of customers in the store at one time. It felt like waiting in line to get in to a bar! It was delightful to shop in an uncrowded TJs, though.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Phone call went well from Husband's POV, so I guess we'll see.

Our wings are not tired.

What area of Florida, Dana? (yes I want to know for purely selfish reasons)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I hope Hec and Matilda are still well.

We're fine. No symptoms.

After a week of lumping about on the couch, Matilda erupted into a frenzy of productivity over the last couple days: doing art, cooking projects, working out to YouTube videos, cleaning the living room and doing her (now optional) homework unprompted.

I'm getting a little burned out on 3x3 meals a day, plus coffee and snacks and doing a full sink of dishes twice a day. Bah.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Fuck. We're getting bad news on JZ's dad.

He's in jeopardy now.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm getting a little burned out on 3x3 meals a day, plus coffee and snacks and doing a full sink of dishes twice a day. Bah.

So. Many. Dishes.

We also discovered this week that we do not own enough bowls for all 4 of us to eat 3 meals a day at home.

Leftovers night (formerly Thursday) is now a thing of the distant past because all the leftovers are becoming next-day lunch. On the one hand, less waste, on the other hand NOW I HAVE TO COOK EVERY FREAKING NIGHT ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I'm looking online for a good bodyweight training program to complement the stationary bike downstairs. Any recs? Must be appropriate for fat beginners with bad knees. (Ideally free but most services have at least a 30-day trial period.)

Oh no, Hec. Fingers crossed hard for all of you.

Ann, that's a ferret.

All best thoughts for JZ's father.
