Our wings are not tired.

Fred, it is good to hear your mobility is improving. Of course you need to keep up with the physical therapy. DH will go to his sister's salon (or her home) for his pedicure because he can't clip his toenails either. (Not my job)

I live on a park and individual people are still out on their walks, or walking their animals. If people aren't sick I hope we can continue to go outside. I get that they closed the beaches, but that hurts because my time at the beach always involves social distancing! Not so much with the Spring Breakers.

I wish TCG was staying home with us.

Is WFH not an option for him? I know it is super difficult to get work done with a youngster, but it would certainly help everyone's anxiety level.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

He would probably not get much done here with ltc, and he doesn't at the moment have home access to work resources. Also, people are still being allowed to drop things off like building plans etc, even if they're not allowed in the building. He only works with a couple other people, and they're keeping their distance from each other and cleaning a lot. So, I'm not as worried about him bringing home the virus, but I do miss him and so do ltc. And by the time he gets home at night I'm exhausted and cranky.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I just realized this morning that I'm nearly out of cat food. Dog food is good for the next month but now I have to go to Petco to pick up food for my 17 toed-cat (Hi, Nilly!)

Nilly, I'm glad you'll be getting all the hugs soon.

DH tried to get me to call in today and stay home but we're closed to the public, just a few of us in the department and we're pretty isolated from the rest of the library, so I'm just saving up all my benefits until I really need to use them.

The desire to curl up in a fetal position on the couch is at war with a desire for things to be back to normal.

re: hairdressers

Just call clients and tell them you're closing and NOT TO CUT THEIR BANGS. Do not try to squeeze in elderly clients. I'm offering to pre-pay my stylist for my April appointment if she needs it.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am WFH today which is the first WFH day for me in the new house. I did not set up anything last night, so I have done that this morning. I also just really really wanted to stay in bed this morning. Feel fine, just my brain not wanting to deal anymore with all the STUFF.

I neglected to bring home things that I need to do my few tasks I can do from home, so I am headed back into the office to pick things up. No one in my department is in and there may only be 1-2 other people on the whole floor so I feel fine about it.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Laura, thanks for the validation. I'm feeling guilty about the pedicure. I suspect the nail place is going to close completely for the duration before long.

Maybe we could revive a question from WW2: Is this trip really necessary?

I really, really want a mani.

edited to add: want isn't the same as need, but if you're mobility impaired, take care of those feet! (or pay the appropriate personal care tech to do it.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Google tells me its the equinox today. Seems early, somehow.

Not knowing if our warehouse is going to continue shipping is stressing me out. Why is this the thing that eats at me?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

which is like DefCon1 level serious for practicing Catholics.

Especially since it's Lent. The prospect of not going to church on Easter is...wow.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Trying to math, and I'm thinking your quarantine will be over soon. Happy post-Q Day, Nilly!

I've been toying with letting my pixie grow back out to a short bob again, and this seems like the perfect time to do that.

I've discovered the joys of DoorDash, and I'll be supporting my local dumpling place for lunch today.

Anxiety presents as insomnia for me, so you can imagine how that's been going lately. Last night I finally fell asleep and dreamed that I'd set up a bed in an empty grocery store and was snoozing there. Bit on the nose, subconscious. I will expect better from you tonight. At least throw some tapdancing squirrels into the mix.
