DeBlasio's announced 814 known cases in NYC (and from the chyron shelter-in-place is coming). I had my TiVo paused and can't rewind any further so I missed the beginning.
On FB she said she started back to work today! (Working from home, of course.)
Thanks Teppy. That's great to hear.
Hey, chrismg. Good to see you here.
I had this realization last week. With my allergies, I figure I'm likely to have any of the other symptoms at any time, so I'd let a fever tell me I was sick. I hit 2 different Walgreen's and both were completely out of all thermometers except the 70 dollar one. Randomly, I found them in stock at the 99 cents (only) store. (Didn't feel the need to buy them all. Did buy 2, just in case)
We're often snot monsters. One of my kids keeps telling me Covid-19 is a dry disease. I choose to believe him.
I have a sore throat and the sniffles too, but neither of those is a Covid symptom, and I don't have any of the known symptoms, so I'm just assuming it's a poorly timed cold or allergy flare-up.
The store is closing at the end of the day. We will be closed until the end of theonth and paid for 23 hours. If it's closed after that there is no info and we may have to use PTO or go without pay.
Tomorrow I am going to call every one I pay bills to and see if I can get help.bim sure everyone else is
So I was sitting at my desk yesterday, and I noticed that my hands and feet were freezing, and I was wondering why I was so frackin' cold. Then I remembered - my thermostat is programmed to lower the heat to 60° when I am at school, where I was supposed to be yesterday.
Later I noticed that I'd missed a call from a friend but never heard the ring. Sure enough, the app I have that prevents the phone frome ringing during class was still on.
Trying to remember what else I've forgot to turn on or off.
Timelies all!
Happy Anniversary Laura and Brendon!

I'm very glad it's not as cold as the week I was home on vacation over Christmas, because even that month's heating bill was an unpleasant surprise.
Today we got even more restricted at work -- NO program items where more than 5 people gather, and NO dining room (which as you can guess is the major socializing venue and biggest comfort item.) Trays taken up to their rooms instead.
We're going to do some one-on-one programming, set up video conference calls on residence computers, and so on.
Oh, and the post office isn't letting the mailman enter the building -- he has to leave the mail in a bucket outside, and it gets sorted by us. But we don't have access to the locked mail boxes, because those are Federal Property. Interim solution is to use the in-house mail cubbies, but really that isn't a good idea because a number of residents don't see well enough to figure out which is theirs, so there's all kinds of letters being walked-off-with, so it looks like we'll just take the mail up to each room.
At least so far everyone is in good health. Nightmare scenario is like the Oregon nursing home where one by one the residents go down with pneumonia, and the staff is reduced to a skeleton crew because they're quarantined.
Elsewhere, on Facebook I told somebody who was loudly declaring this was a Dem plot to go gargle with bleach.
I had an 18-hour day yesterday dealing with work COVID stuff (plus another 5 hours this morning/afternoon). I'm definitely staring into the middle distance while being anxious for the remainder of the day.
Happy Anniversary, Laura and Brendon!
Happy Anniversary, Laura & Brendon!
Congrats, Maria!
They are shutting down Wisconsin. The Moose at the gate should have told you we're closed.
