When I was a kid, I was always afraid the bathtub would fall into the basement. (Our house was up to code; I just had an overactive imagination.) Your sink is like that!

Any time I've considered asking about remodeling an upstairs apartment bathroom on my own dime to install a clawfoot tub, I've had flashbacks to the one from The Money Pit falling through Tom Hanks' house like a wrecking ball.
Come on, sink, that was hardly necessary. We are all impressed, though!
Whoa, they aren't even supposed to go outside for a walk?
It's unclear from the, er, thingy that was posted outlining the regs. Hiking trails and parks are open, but there's also a mention that non-essential travel by foot (they list a bunch of modes of travel but by foot is specifically in there) is prohibited, so, dunno! It also says that people over 70 should stay indoors, which is QUITE a drag and I am pretty sure that both my parents will be out in their yard on occasion but they are used to, like, 3-5 mile hikes and that's probably not really a good idea right now.
I lived in a place in NOLA that had a clawfoot tub on the second floor and it would shake like the dickens when heavy trucks went by and it was TERRIFYING. That was also the place where we didn't have a stove/oven because I saw the landlord hooking up the gas water heater and he CLEARLY did not know what he was doing so we were just like, that's okay, leave the stove disconnected and cooked on an alcohol-burning camp stove. We were only there for 6 months because having no heat was manageable but having no A/C was gonna be bad. Super cheap, though.
Super happy about my klonopin prescription right now.

Yeah, I'm like, running/walking the dog IS essential! Both of us will lose our minds if we can't get out.
So my niece thinks non-essential travel means that everyone who could WFH must. I'm still going into the office this week because I don't have my new laptop yet, and all the reports are that the agency network is worse than molasses. I'll get a lot more done in the office.
Some of my coworkers commute from across the bridge and I guess they are supposed to work from home for 3 weeks regardless of what happens in Solano county? I'm sure my company will be okay with that, they are pretty good about letting people wfh, but it's a weird situation. We're currently set to wfh for 2 weeks, but who knows what will end up happening. As long as the port stays open and our DC can keep operating we aren't impacted to badly. Our salespeople are hamstrung, but everyone else is in the same boat. And I personally have over three weeks of sick time. And two weeks vacation. Not my first choice for how to use it, but if I need to I'm well positioned, I guess.
Huh, Doordash just told me that restaurants in my area were closed for dine in but open for pickup and delivery. I didn't think that was in effect here, but I also haven't checked in several hours...
I read a romance novel recently where the tub fell through the ceiling requiring the tenant to guest at a love interest's house. But wow.
Dad's 80th birthday has been canceled. My sister's family canceled their spring break in Florida.
On the bright side, a lovely patron came back to the desk to ask me how I was doing with all of this. So not all people suck.
Huzzah for the lovely patron!

My pile of library books is staring balefully at me and my 4 tabs of fanfic open in Firefox.
Teppy, I have books that I need for work but I cannot resist a second listen to a gay romance audiobook about an astronaut and his capcom. Some things are super hard to resist.
