I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Some of my coworkers commute from across the bridge and I guess they are supposed to work from home for 3 weeks regardless of what happens in Solano county? I'm sure my company will be okay with that, they are pretty good about letting people wfh, but it's a weird situation. We're currently set to wfh for 2 weeks, but who knows what will end up happening. As long as the port stays open and our DC can keep operating we aren't impacted to badly. Our salespeople are hamstrung, but everyone else is in the same boat. And I personally have over three weeks of sick time. And two weeks vacation. Not my first choice for how to use it, but if I need to I'm well positioned, I guess.

Huh, Doordash just told me that restaurants in my area were closed for dine in but open for pickup and delivery. I didn't think that was in effect here, but I also haven't checked in several hours...

Now tagless for your comfort.

I read a romance novel recently where the tub fell through the ceiling requiring the tenant to guest at a love interest's house. But wow.

Dad's 80th birthday has been canceled. My sister's family canceled their spring break in Florida.

On the bright side, a lovely patron came back to the desk to ask me how I was doing with all of this. So not all people suck.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm self-medicating with wine and fanfic.

My pile of library books is staring balefully at me and my 4 tabs of fanfic open in Firefox.

Teppy, I have books that I need for work but I cannot resist a second listen to a gay romance audiobook about an astronaut and his capcom. Some things are super hard to resist.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Dallas has shut down restaurants, bars, movie theaters, etc., for a week starting tonight. Restaurants still open for drive-through, pickup, and delivery.

Huh. City hall is closed. Didn't think about that.

What is even happening?

Our town hall is closed, too.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

If you can spare some ~ma, would you please send it my sister's way? We had to shut down the bar and dining room tonight, and we can only do take out. She's stressed beyond belief because we have to lay people off, and she's trying to do as much as she can to help them out, but it's never enough. I can't take any of this off of her and I can't help in any other way, so hopefully a bit of ~ma will give her some relief.

This all sucks. I hate it.
