That sounds lovely, Hil.
I went to my library this morning for early voting and then to Whole Foods which had weekend level traffic. I didn't check the paper items, but the frozen veggies were nearly empty.
Then I had to hustle in to work for a hastily scheduled meeting. I was expecting we'd be WFH for the immediate future, but in an attempt to keep the show crews (who get paid hourly) employed I'm supposed to find something for them to do to make up the total hours they would've gotten from show calls. Which means I need to be at work next week. I like that my crew will continue to get paid. I don't like that they'll have to use public transit to get there.
My mother just said they haven't had frozen veg at our store in two weeks! And of course, she's eaten down her fridge in anticipation of being out of town. So we'll see how that goes.
You guys, I did not realize how much of my anxiety was tied up in this trip! I should sleep well tonight.
What a good idea, Hil!
Can't they just pay them not to work? That's what I would do. This could be one of the many reasons I am not in charge of anything.
Yay for lowering stress, Jesse!
I have something not entirely unlike coq au vin in the instant pot. Sounds like the rain could start anytime. Should be a cozy weekend.
You know, this documentation might be as important as our 9/11 thread. But slower.
Sophia, I was thinking the exact same thing. The vibe of this thread is much like that one was, but at a much slower pace.
All, I just want to remind you during this scary time that we are going to be okay.
We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse.
I just got an email that the San Francisco Public Library is closing until March 31st, which at this point I was expecting.
It turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of apocalypse.
We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse.
NATLBSB, Pix.
(I had to pause and think what the acronym would be, it's been so long since I used it.)
I had a plumbing emergency but happily the rooter companies have not shut down, and someone came out and fixed my drains. Now I'm waiting for the hot water tank to heat up so I can clean the disgusting mess in my bathtub.
In other news, I found this wonderful ESPN clip about an amazing athlete dog:

ltc's school is officially closing for at least a week.
local tavern was full - not sure it was smart to stay, but I wanted to eat so I did. Next restaurant I went to to buy gift certificate was too busy for anyone to help me. Liquor store had 4 people in buying stuff. CVS still has soup and foodstuffs on the shelves and milk. Other local restaurant looked busy. I can but gift certificates for them online.
