You know, this documentation might be as important as our 9/11 thread. But slower.
Sophia, I was thinking the exact same thing. The vibe of this thread is much like that one was, but at a much slower pace.

All, I just want to remind you during this scary time that we are going to be okay.
We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse.
I just got an email that the San Francisco Public Library is closing until March 31st, which at this point I was expecting.
It turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of apocalypse.

NATLBSB, Pix.
(I had to pause and think what the acronym would be, it's been so long since I used it.)
I had a plumbing emergency but happily the rooter companies have not shut down, and someone came out and fixed my drains. Now I'm waiting for the hot water tank to heat up so I can clean the disgusting mess in my bathtub.

ltc's school is officially closing for at least a week.
local tavern was full - not sure it was smart to stay, but I wanted to eat so I did. Next restaurant I went to to buy gift certificate was too busy for anyone to help me. Liquor store had 4 people in buying stuff. CVS still has soup and foodstuffs on the shelves and milk. Other local restaurant looked busy. I can but gift certificates for them online.
Can't they just pay them not to work?
They're doing that for that for the actors so, yes. If we end up with more restrictions they'll have to.
Ah, ok. Well, I hope that works out ok for all of you

Yup, but OTOH several branches, along with a bunch of rec centers around the City, will be open to provide emergency day care for the children of hospital workers, disaster relief workers and low-income families impacted by all the closures. 8-6, 3 meals a day, homework and crafts and such in spaces big enough to allow for social distancing. And the school district is handing out free breakfast and lunch to anyone 18 and under within city limits, public school student or no.
