I am not seeing any signs of panic here, but my new workplace is starting meetings of adapting and making preparations to the emergency plan. Since I am in a Dept Director's office, that will affect us, we will be pulling together data on everyone who should work from home if needed and start making it so that could happen (laptops, remote access, training...)
I got the flower rug and it arrived yesterday and I got it out today. I like it. so YAY!.
Day 2 of work and I am actually already being able to help with some small things. I am walking so much more than I did at my last job, not so much that my feet are hurting, but more in a nice way and I have the opportunity to do several trips a day up and down stairs. I even got lunch from a halal food truck today and I WAS SO HAPPY!! WHITE SAUCE FOR THE WIN!!
Yay!!
People at my job are cancelling some trips, but more random. Like, we had an event in Seattle last week, but someone else just cancelled a trip to LA next week....
Glad to hear you, yours, and Liese are OK, Kate! The storms were scary—you're getting the weather in TN that usually stops to visit us in AR!
I just bought a week's worth of groceries last night, but given the impending pandemic it would only be prudent for me to go out for 99¢ tacos tonight and allow my supplies to stretch further in case of an emergency, right?
99¢ Tacos are NEVER a bad idea!
I think that is a good idea.
My driver's license isues are not resolved. Despite getting reinsured in NC and getting the proper form turned in I got a letter saying effective immediately my license was revoked. It was dated the 25th and postmarked the 27th. I'm calling them tomorrow to see if the form was received and things wee crossed in the mail. I don't know .I wish I could get this figured out.
Ugh, askye. Similar bureaucratic ugh, meara.
The prudent and responsible choice, Matt. Clearly.
Cashmere, I know we caught up elsewhere, but I just want to send you love wherever I see you. You've been fighting to get your brother the care he needs forever. I hope your poor dad heals quickly.
ugh - early results are not showing Warren hitting 15%.
double ugh - bloomberg hits 15% threshold in states before Warren. I hate this timeline.
