RUN AWAY!
Natter 76: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Foaminess

(seriously, succession planning shit when you're NOT ACTUALLY THE BOSS is a total no-win. do the least you need to do, but we all get sucked into spending way too much time and energy on companies that know we're out the door.)
The issue is having nothing to run to. I'd still love to get a job in another department, just really hate seeing all the inconsistencies of treatment come to the forefront when it is something I pushed back on so hard and thought that my boss had more integrity than that.
That all sounds angrifying and kind of icky, msbelle. I'm sorry.
((Zen)) Those sound like normal things to be feeling given what life has been tossing your way. And as much as I like a drink, whiskey wouldn't exactly make any of those feelings less. I hope some good stuff turns up soon
Laura, I'm so sorry for your loss. How fucking awful.
Our health system is insane. I'd write more but it's too exhausting.
I will happily organize a holiday card exchange, msbelle, unless it's stepping on your toes? I figure I'd just google form it, create lists, and send those out. If we wnated to match people up, I could have people opt to send 1, 5, 10, 15 cards and I'll match people up. The send deadline would be three kings day for those of us who are late? Does that all sound manageable?

Oh! I could do cards if it was 5 or 10! Somehow I convinced myself it would be a lot more. I should've asked instead of assuming. Duh, Steph.
Totally on board for this Kat and msbelle.
That sounds great. Like Steph, I was imagining like 100 cards! Too much for me. I mean five might end up being too much for me, but it is a reasonable goal!
The idea of signing up for a number of cards sounds amazing! I was starting to get nervous about numbers myself.
