It's like, in the middle of all this, I'm paranoid that you'll think I don't like poetry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay for him working, though!

My boss has on her calendar that she's leaving at 3:30, but I can hear she is still here, so I feel like I should wait! I have out at 4 on my calendar...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Ugh on the hours, but it's good to hear he is employed.

This was my first full month at work! I'm getting the hang of it, and the bus driving is less stressful all the time, so long as I can preplan the routes, since Boston is full of low highway overpasses that a 10'2" bus does not fit under. (One of the ones close by to work is 9'!).

Today I bought 3 cases of white wine, did some other shopping, took several trips, including one to a boxing lesson taught to Parkinson's patients! I didn't know that that was a thing, but evidently there are boxing clubs all over the place that are teaching them. One of the program managers who went is considering having a class taught on-site.

I love that! My yoga teacher teaches at a bunch of assisted living places.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Read this.

I tried.

His "Wisdom" page has many more paragraph breaks and only slightly less absurdity, for that that's worth.

Title: "Not Even Close: The State of Computer Security"

Venue: NDC Oslo 2015

Abstract: In this bleak, relentlessly morbid talk, James Mickens will describe why making computers secure is an intrinsically impossible task. He will explain why no programming language makes it easy to write secure code. He will then discuss why cloud computing is a black hole for privacy, and only useful for people who want to fill your machine with ads, viruses, or viruses that masquerade as ads. At this point in the talk, an audience member may suggest that Bitcoins can make things better. Mickens will laugh at this audience member and then explain why trusting the Bitcoin infrastructure is like asking Dracula to become a vegan. Mickens will conclude by describing why true love is a joke and why we are all destined to die alone and tormented. The first ten attendees will get balloon animals, and/or an unconvincing explanation about why Mickens intended to (but did not) bring balloon animals. Mickens will then flee on horseback while shouting "The Prince of Lies escapes again!"

Reminds me a little of this.

Computer Scientist as absurdist artist, I did not expect that overlap.
