Thanks, Gud!
I can't cancel the order at this point, but I can return it when it gets here, so I still think I should go buy one. I might get freelance work on Monday; I need a laptop in hand by then.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Thanks, Gud!

For folks watching the news, the Saddle Ridge Fire is close to Kristin and I but we are safe. Our canyon is a red flag zone, and eastern edge of the fire is probably within 10 miles of us, but the wind is blowing to the west, which keeps us safe right now.
Sending vibes to the fire prone areas. May you and your neighbors be safe.
Between news and general Fridayness, I am completely failing at work today.
Same. I think I'm going to straighten up, go back and see what my to-do list is for next week, and call it a day.
I've done some easy reconciling work that needed to be done. About to start entering some stuff that needs in and then I have a Chiro appt and massage at 4:30, so all good.
Mac has finished his first week as an employee at Whataburger. He was working 5pm to 10pm until yesterday. Last night and tonight he has 10pm -4am shift. Ugh. Last night was so dead they sent him home at 1:30.
Yay for him working, though!
My boss has on her calendar that she's leaving at 3:30, but I can hear she is still here, so I feel like I should wait! I have out at 4 on my calendar...
Ugh on the hours, but it's good to hear he is employed.
This was my first full month at work! I'm getting the hang of it, and the bus driving is less stressful all the time, so long as I can preplan the routes, since Boston is full of low highway overpasses that a 10'2" bus does not fit under. (One of the ones close by to work is 9'!).
Today I bought 3 cases of white wine, did some other shopping, took several trips, including one to a boxing lesson taught to Parkinson's patients! I didn't know that that was a thing, but evidently there are boxing clubs all over the place that are teaching them. One of the program managers who went is considering having a class taught on-site.
You guys. Read this. [link]

I love that! My yoga teacher teaches at a bunch of assisted living places.
