information libertarian

Here in Ohio today's forecast high is 91 and low is 51. I can;t wait until the change!

I subscribe to both the Times and the Post but I read the Times much more. That's at least partly habit; I grew up with the Times.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I get not wanting to give money to the NY Times. On the other hand, I believe WaPo is owned by Jeff Bezos (Amazon). Of course, with my Amazon ebook addiction, I can't really talk.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Here in Ohio today's forecast high is 91 and low is 51.

You're a day behind the East Coast! Of course, our lovely cool fall weather came with a lovely dose of soggy wet rain, so, you know.

WaPo is owned by Bezos personally, not by Amazon. If that makes a difference to anyone.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What do I get for a recently engaged couple that is visiting from out of state?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I subscribe to the Washington Post myself.

Thrive to spite them

Check your library and sesee if they have digital access. My library has digital access to the NY times and others. You get a pass to log in and then can read as many articles as you want.

I subscribe to both, but read the times more, probably. I'm not a big fan of the way the post webpage is set up on mobile?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What do I get for a recently engaged couple that is visiting from out of state?

So, something they will have to carry back with them? I'd probably go with a gift certificate for someplace near where they live?

Disclaimer: I have never bought an engagement gift.

Yes. I thought of that, but I really have no idea what is good near them. It's my brother-in-law and his girlfriend of many years who I like a lot. So, I really should get them something.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

As we live in the DC-area, we subscribe to the Post, dead tree edition.

So stressed about Mr. S and his behavior, and I can't seem to calm down for long. Ugh.
