Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

askye, I had a minor stroke back in 2006; I called a cab since I get almost all my medical care through one hospital complex but ambulances go to a different one. They kept me for three days, but I bounced back pretty well. It did take me a good six months to get back to almost normal ... or my version of it.

If your mom wants to take a shower, see if you can get a little stool (they make them to use in the shower). It's less enjoyable than taking a shower while standing, but a big improvement over falling. Any kind of therapy she can get, she should. And they had me on ... Zoloft, I think it was, to help my brain heal.

Best wishes for her recovery. And your nerves.

Thrive to spite them

Thanks Toddson. There was a woman in here doing...something I don't remember...and she had stroke 12 years ago and is fine now.

Right now we are waiting to hear back from the rehab hospital. They are waiting on...insurance I think. If we don't hear by 5 PM it will be Monday before we hear about when she will go there. Mom isn't happy about that. I wish I could have a better idea of what to tell work.

Oh and I need to get a new phone on Verizon because I can only do call over wifi at Mom's and Verizon doesn't allow that on things like Straight talk. I also just bought my minutes for the month. I don't need the extra expense. It's just a lot that keeps adding up.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, sorry, askye. None of that phone stuff makes sense to me, but what do I know.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday flea!

Meeting's over. Miss Annette did most of the talking, outlining what strategies she used last year at PEP. She will e-mail the plan to us, we will send it to the principal, who will send it to the board. Once they approve it, Mr. S can come back to school. In the meanwhile we will get a nanny to take him to and from PEP on Monday so he can start that. Whew!

Sounds encouraging, Sheryl.
