The last flight out of NYC I took was so on time we had to run to the gate (after a 45-minute security line). The flight home (which we were on time for) was delayed.

Okay. This is amazing. You may have seen the story about the malfunctioning voting machine is Mississippi. Now I don't know if the machine was rigged or if the touchscreen was malfunctioning, but apparently the machine was made by a company called ESS out of Omaha. Check out their address:

The NPR Politics podcast has been doing half-hour interviews with all of the candidates, and I just have to say, they all sound like smart, thoughtful people who have actually thought things through. Do I think most of them should be president, or even running? Nah. But STILL. It's kind of heartening, actually.
