Can we maybe vote on the whole murdering people issue?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Non-electric heating pads: you really can't top a hot water 'bottle', the rubber kind, for nice heating, as well that it cools off as you do, which makes it great for my cold cold feet. OTOH, they're not so great for forehead type use.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The pedantic part of me is bothered by the "lungs of the earth" thing, but then the practical side thinks it's probably best to let people get panicked by hyperbole on this issue. It's not as if slash-and-burning half the Amazon rain forest is good for the planet's atmosphere.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm not so distressed about "the lungs of the earth," so much as the Ultra Right Wing President of Brazil purposefully burning down the Amazon for oil and agriculture.

Putin's done a fantastic job of installing right wing demagogues all around the globe.

Lately I've been thinking about how well capitalism pairs with Fascism.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I have some of these:

chemical reaction heating pads. I like them, and they come in several different sizes (and they're starting to do some aromatherapy - or at least lavender scented heating pads).

Because books.

And apparently the president of Brazil refused financial aid to help fight the fires, which seems stupidly petty.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

And apparently the president of Brazil refused financial aid to help fight the fires, which seems stupidly petty.

From what I saw, he's going to keep burning the Amazon until Macron apologizes to him for something mean he said. Because apparently the president of Brazil is in FUCKING MIDDLE SCHOOL.

I have those microwave rice things, for heating pads, but finally got an actual plug in heating pad a while back and was like "why didn't I do this before??"

I can't believe how many toddlers are running the world's nations these days. Good god. It's so depressing for the future. I try and remind myself that people in other eras were probably convinced humanity would destroy itself, and we didn't, but global warming seems like something we can't really avoid...

And high school was before facebook, but mostly I just want a 30 second update on a lot of people. Like, college, I'm pretty much friends with anyone I cared about, on FB. I have a few hs friends on fb. But there are a bunch of folks I just want to know what happened to them. Married? Gay? Crazy career? Moved to Japan? Became a musician? No idea, and I want to know! But then once I know I don't need to like, keep being friends with them?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I care less about 98% of my classmates than I do getting to see the Forbidden Floors that were formerly the convent. I'm seriously super excited. (Catholic school kids are weird, yo.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I always end up having a great conversation with someone I wasn't really friends with at college at the reunions and then we stay in touch in Facebook. Also become pretty good friends with some spouses.
