Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I always end up having a great conversation with someone I wasn't really friends with at college at the reunions and then we stay in touch in Facebook. Also become pretty good friends with some spouses.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

No idea, and I want to know! But then once I know I don't need to like, keep being friends with them?

Yes, exactly!

I totally want to see the Forbidden Floors, Tep. I am curious if my HS campus is physically the same, it was old and rundown when I was there, with occasional flooding. I think I heard they got a pool at some point? I wonder if Google can help me with that...

Our wings are not tired

None of my high school reunions have been at my school. They have also had essentially no involvement from the school. Of course for my 30th out of a class of a little more than 100, we had about 15 people turn up.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And apparently the president of Brazil refused financial aid to help fight the fires

He wants the forests burned so he can turn them over to oil interests and agriculture.

He's encouraged farmers to burn back the land so they can take it.

This fire is not an accident.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Are everybody's reunions at their actual HS? Mine was at the House of Blues downtown this year. And the tenth was at some chi-chi place in North County (managed not to get invited to 20/25, so don't know where/if they were held). If it was actually at my HS, I think I might be more likely to go.

eta: x-post with ND when I accidentally didn't hit post.

Our actual percentage of attendees might be even smaller than yours, ND, but with a graduating class of 860, it was still a pretty good-sized party.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We had one reunion at a hotel function room, the rest have been at random bars, and hardly anyone goes. Eh!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The only HS reunion I went to was my 10th, and that was only because it was Thanksgiving weekend, and I was still going to my parents' house for the holiday. My 30th was a few years ago. Sometimes I wonder how I got to be over 50, but here I am.

I haven't been to any of my high school reunions, but I'm pretty sure they've been held at a local hotel that is a shithole. I just looked it up on Yelp, and the reviews are just t chef's kiss
