It's a perfect beach day out here right now, and is supposed to be the same all weekend I think, but I just want to lay around my house and also get some things done and I don't think I can do all of those AND go to the beach. Maybe the hammock, though!

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
people with robot vacuums - what kind do you have and are you happy with it?
I am getting a fair amount of work work done, which is good. I should still probably put in a few hours each day this weekend because I AM DISTRACTED AS FUCK!
Things that have made me stop and go look at pictures of the new place today:
- worry that the backyard has no shade and I will need to immediately plant trees (it has shade)
- wondering if the oven has a handle I can use as a towel holder (may seem small, but I hate ones that can't. it does btw)
My boss is about to leave on vacation so she's going through her email and finally responding to everything.
I should have spent more time outside at the ice cream social, but I didn't really have a "buddy" so spent a few minutes talking to several different people and then just came back in. But now I just want to leave!

I have a Deebot and I think it is might nice. I love watching it do its thing. You might say the place here in Otter Lake presents many challenges, but it does a good job. I really hate to vacuum.
DH is heading out tonight. Back to visit his sister then back to Florida. He is outside doing a bonfire of a bunch of trash from his yard cleanup. Mmmmm, fire. I gave him a list of stuff to do before he left and he has been very busy the last few days!
I was supposed to go backpacking this weekend and was all into it and they just canceled because of lightning. Boo!! Now I have to make other plans for this weekend and they are bound to not be as cool. It's going to be gray and rainy. But I was going to be doing something new and different and learning (it was a beginner class from REI where they loan you all the equipment you need.
Bummer, meara.
Timelies all!
Mr. S is causing his usual amount of chaos.
We have a roomba. We like it pretty well (certainly more than vacuuming). The functionality has improved significantly in the past decade and a half since I had one before.
We do set it up to do one room at a time, though
I have a Deebot and I love him enough to have named him (R. Daneel Robotvacuumcleaner, for those who are keeping score). It doesn't clean as fast or as deeply as the Dyson, and tends to get stuck in random places in our very crowded house, so I never use any of the schedule-it-to-run-while-you're-out functionality, but it's absolutely genius for being able to push a button and let it do its thing and I don't have to do it.
Sadly, none of the cats have learned to ride it around like a bumper car.
