I was supposed to go backpacking this weekend and was all into it and they just canceled because of lightning. Boo!! Now I have to make other plans for this weekend and they are bound to not be as cool. It's going to be gray and rainy. But I was going to be doing something new and different and learning (it was a beginner class from REI where they loan you all the equipment you need.

Our wings are not tired.

Bummer, meara.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

We have a roomba. We like it pretty well (certainly more than vacuuming). The functionality has improved significantly in the past decade and a half since I had one before.

We do set it up to do one room at a time, though

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I have a Deebot and I love him enough to have named him (R. Daneel Robotvacuumcleaner, for those who are keeping score). It doesn't clean as fast or as deeply as the Dyson, and tends to get stuck in random places in our very crowded house, so I never use any of the schedule-it-to-run-while-you're-out functionality, but it's absolutely genius for being able to push a button and let it do its thing and I don't have to do it.

Sadly, none of the cats have learned to ride it around like a bumper car.

I just find it so amusing when it decides it is time to go back to its charging station. I would be totally down with having robots do all my household chores.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

it was a beginner class from REI where they loan you all the equipment you need

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I got a bOBsweep, but I haven't set it up yet. I will report back on how it does in an insanely cluttered, crowded (seriously, how can there be this much stuff?!?!) house.

brillig

I'm seriously tempted by a robot vacuum. I have a small one-bedroom apartment, but I hate vacuuming, and it annoys my lungs. I'm trying to justify the expense.
